Funding: Up to β¬150,000 (100% funded)

2. Type B β Flight & Ground Segment R&D
Development of equipment, subsystems, or software for space and ground use.
TRL: 3β5
Funding: Up to β¬300,000β400,000 (100% funded)
Duration: 15β24 months
Eligibility: Industry-led (academia can be subcontractors)
Note: Involvement of an end customer is recommended
3. Type F β Downstream Applications
Turn space data into real-world services using EO, GNSS, or SatCom.
TRL: 6β8
Funding: Up to β¬200,000 (25% co-funded)
Duration: 9β15 months
Eligibility: Led by industry/application developers
Note: Customer involvement is required as a subcontractor

4. Type D β Space Science Activities
Advance Latviaβs scientific presence in ESA missions.
Funding: Up to β¬100,000 (100% funded)
Duration: Up to 48 months
Eligibility: Academic/research institutions only
Note: Pure scientific research (no TRL required)
5. Type G1 β Education Activities
Create or improve BSc/MSc programs aligned with the space sector.
Funding: β¬70,000β90,000 (100% funded)
Duration: Up to 36 months
Eligibility: Latvian universities (industry may participate as subcontractors)
6. Type G2 β PhD Co-Sponsored Research Projects
Collaborative PhD projects between universities and industry.
Funding: Up to β¬80,000 from ESA + β₯β¬10,000 from industry (co-funding required)
Duration: 36 months
Eligibility: Led by Latvian universities with a Latvian industrial partner
