On 7 July 2022, the Copernicus Support Office is organising its second webinar as part of a series dedicated to showcasing Copernicus, its uses and benefits. This time the webinar will delve into the topic of Earth Observation data uses in the cultural heritage sector.
This webinar, “Copernicus for the preservation of cultural heritage”, will take place on 7 July 2022 from 16:00 to 17:00 CEST.
The aim of the webinar is to understand the benefits of remote sensing for cultural heritage monitoring, protection, and management. The importance of cultural heritage sites and their vulnerability against natural and anthropogenic threats has long been recognised by the European institutions and other international actors, such as UNESCO. The full, free and open data access policy of Copernicus has bolstered the uptake of Earth Observation data for cultural heritage monitoring.
